黄秋生2020年12月接下台湾LINE TV实境节目《开着餐车交朋友》，与KID、宋柏纬搭档主持，3人预计开着拖挂式露营车展开1个半月的环岛。他们在晶华酒店举办开镜仪式，黄秋生刚结束隔离14天，苦笑道：“很闷，差不多快疯掉了。” 他展现冷面笑匠功力，故意揶揄KID：“他们告诉我你是国际巨星我才来的”，又说自己买了台语书，但是“放在香港忘了带来”。
