《主机战争》主要讲述了上世纪90年代，世嘉美国分部CEO汤姆·卡林斯科通过种种策略，在美国地区成功推广世嘉MD主机，最终在当时美国地区的“任天堂与世嘉的主机大战”中为世嘉扳回一城的故事。该剧目前已公布将由《金刚：骷髅岛》《潜龙谍影》电影版的导演乔丹·罗伯茨进行执导，而编剧则是《传教士》的编剧埃文·哥德堡担任。目前试播集由麦克·鲁索利欧担当制作，他曾经执笔过《美国囧案》以及《肖恩拯救世界》。
