錣市兵衛のもとに、野洲黒羽領榎村の百姓新八が助けを求めてきた。領主・大関佐渡守の悪政に、名主榎太左衛門らが一揆を起こし、助力を求めて来たのだった。市兵衛は早速、陽炎、鬼塚隼人、望月弥太郎らと野州へ乗り込んだ。一揆軍の陣地に案内された市兵衛は、かつて戦った敵将で、浪人の別所四郎五郎に再会した。他に、朝海十蔵、岩下甚内、桜井源八らの賞金稼ぎの一味も加わっていた。翌朝、降伏を強要する敵の軍使の陣笠を朝海が射抜いたことから、戦いの火蓋は切られた。市兵衛は、連発銃を乱射し、敵をけ散らした。あわてた黒羽城側では、主水らが市兵衛の銃を奪い取ろうと作戦を立て、那須音平ら三人が、特命を受けた。一方、砦内では、朝海と岩下が市兵衛の寝首をかき、それを土産に、城側に寝返ろうとした。身代りに、百姓女おもんが死に市兵衛は、二人を斬った、そのスキに、忍び入った那須音平らが、連発銃を奪った。市兵衛は敵地に乗り込み、敵藩士・秋葉伊織之介から、銃を取戻した。これより先、公儀に強訴のため江戸に向かった、高屋戸村名主・治三郎が捕えられ、砦の前で殺害され、主水からの最後通告が来た。翌朝、敵の襲来に、市兵衛は、連発銃やゲーベル銃を乱射して奮戦し、銃身が焼き切れると、弥太郎、陽炎らと打って出て、捨身の白兵戦を展開した。その最中に、弥太郎が斬死したが、市兵衛は、別所、隼人らの協力で、伊織之介を斬り、主水を倒し、ついに佐藤守を追いつめて見事、討ち取った。

Vicente, seventeen, lives with brother Nino, ten-years-old, and his ailing father in a derelict house on the outskirts of the capital. They don't seem to remember their mother, and are very much attached to their father, despite his temper, and his frequent absences from home. One day, the father leaves for good, and Vicente and Nino swear to cover it up. It's their secret. Clara, the primary school assistant, is fascinatingly beautiful, and secretive, and (may be) she knows it aswel. There are other secrets, though: the origin of the money that appears at Vicente's house; the relationship between Vicente's well-to-do uncle and his girlfriend; the relationship between the four people who once played the cards together, and now can't stand each other

Diego's job is counting people as they enter a large government building. After work, he and his wife Blanca lie on the couch, watch soap operas, or make love on the kitchen table. Their relationship is based on having sex, watching TV, and fighting, until one day their routine is interrupted. Karina, Diego's daughter from a previous marriage, arrives in search of her father's love, but Blanca refuses to accept her.
