《今冬不言情》讲述的是剧中讲了几个家庭的情感故事，每个家庭都在闹离婚。主人公谢晓华跟吴巧云更是一对活宝，两人离婚后分别再婚竟然又分别想离婚而后再复婚。丁怡兰被塑造成虚荣的女人，所以老公一当上局长她就重回老公怀抱，把身患绝症的旧情人又抛在一旁。记者杨杰就是正人君子，陈志纯就是个玩弄女性的流氓，罗琳就是个嫌贫爱富的坏女人。

剧中讲了几个家庭的情感故事，居然每个家庭都在闹离婚（或者是同居的闹分手），这不由得不令人生疑：现实生活中的家庭婚姻关系已经脆弱到这种程度了吗？离婚率高到这种程度了吗？一位忠实追看了好几集的朋友前几天愤然告诉我，本来是挺想看看言情剧的，但现在她实在追不下去了。“剧情太脱离生活了！哪有那样的女儿，居然拚命去拆散自己的家庭，愣要把父母各自婚前的情人找来，让大家统统离婚，折腾来折腾去，再凑成两个家庭！”这个女儿确实很新潮，就是不能让人接受。而父母竟然让这个小女儿玩得团团转，果然是离的离结的结，简直就像是小孩儿在过家家。主人公谢晓华跟吴巧云更是一对活宝，两人离婚后分别再婚竟然又分别想离婚而后再复婚，让人不明所以（民政部门得增加多少工作量啊！）。剧情脱离生活，再怎么样都难以煽情，剧中人忙着他们的离婚和结婚，而我们在一旁哂笑。
