Popistașu topline as Olga, who with her father and her two sisters have been living a carefree life thanks to the fortune of her grandmother, Ileana, a former lawyer. Her sudden death disturbs the family balance. The most affected is Olga, who bears the burden of a deathbed confession her grandmother made: the international adoption files she handled after the Romanian Revolution are riddled with shortcomings and not much is known about the fate of some children. In order to uncover proofs that could clear Ileana’s name and her own inner conscience, Olga is forced to dig up the past and make peace with it.

Pelu, a lonely projectionist in a dying cinema, loses his home and secretly moves into the theatre after being demoted. He turns it into a nocturnal refuge, hosting homeless friends and renting it to a camgirl, thereby reclaiming a sense of purpose. When his secret is exposed and the cinema closes down, Pelu defiantly breaks in to reclaim his home. A bittersweet ode to seventh art, which is not an escapist gesture, but rather a reminder of the inspiration that comes from togetherness and the essential need for community spaces, especially in times like these under the Milei administration.
