After fleeing her violent father, 13-year-old Julija seeks comfort in her kindergarten friend Ana, who still lives on the island. But during a diving expedition, Ana only has eyes for her boyfriend. Feeling that she is increasingly being pushed away, Julija desperately struggles to gain recognition and attention. As her loneliness grows, her buried pain comes to the surface and confrontation becomes inevitable.

一个女性视角的情感故事。一位KTV的女服务员和一位前来唱歌消遣的男人谈起了恋爱，但从始至终，谎言，欲望，浮躁，放纵，迷茫，痛楚……都纠缠在女孩和她的男友之间。人性的明朗与幽暗、城市的温暖和冰冷也交替上演连绵不断，像女孩在KTV包间听惯了的一曲曲无比俗气却贴切人心的流行歌曲。 　　This is a much troubled female perspective love story. A KTV waitress is involved in a relationship with a customer who had come plainly for pleasure and relaxation. However, this relationship has been plagued from the very beginning 　　by lies, desire, impetuosity, confusion and pain. The brightness and darkness of human nature, the warmth and coldness of the city staged themselves alternately and perpetually, just like those vulgar yet properly put pop songs the girl had grown so familiar with by working in KTV private rooms.

楢崎（砂川脩弥 饰）的心愿只是希望「有个可以安静看书的地方」，不料，某天却突然被迫接下看管校内出名不良学生‧寺岛（坪仓康晴 饰）的差事，必须和对方一起在放学后的图书室柜台值班。一开始连对话都没有的两人，在只听得到翻书声音的安静图书室内独处，渐渐地，楢崎开始对散发出独特氛围的寺岛产生了兴趣……

Circuit tells the stories of love and lack of affection, in concentric circles of space and time, of different characters which take place in an occidental city in the 21st century, during these thousand days.

本片是以动画为呈现手法，实为书写给台北国际艺术村的一封动态信件。藉由糅杂不同驻村艺术家回馈的驻村感想并结合动画的流动性及延展性，艺术村从一个官方机构被变形为连接四面八方的桥，创造专属此地的时空经验。

多年来目睹一位朋友因性虐待引发创伤后应激障碍（PTSD），此后导演偶然结识了一位身为幸存者的摄影师 —— 对方的经历激励他决定拍摄这部电影。
