Halloween 1997 – the last night of high school for Corey, Jango and their skater gang, The Gromits. Childhood is over and adult life beckons. But for Corey, his past has some unfinished business. When he encounters Jonah, a former childhood friend but now victimised by Jango’s cruel streak, Corey takes pity on him and agrees to walk him home for old time’s sake. What starts off as a normal walk through empty suburban streets descends into something darker and magical, as trip through their memories and ghosts of the past, and Corey is surprised to discover how much he still has in common with his abandoned friend. 新加坡动画短片《大象与树》在第九届日本野生生物电影节（Japan Wildlife Film Festival）中，击败40多个地区的334部动画片，荣获最佳动画奖。这部动画改编自本地创意人李金苹的绘本处女作， 　　由堪称本地动画业拓荒者“桃源媒体”（Peach Blossom Media）制作，董石慧任监制，制作人是林琳丽和黄坤权（KQ），动画监督是Ric Borja。虽然动画全长不到3分钟，但保育主题鲜明，干净简约的线条讨好。故事中的象与树，从小是好朋友，长大后因人类的破坏而分开。评审的评语包括：“设计感独特”，“表现手法美丽，触动人心”，动画主角也被选作本届电影节的标志。制作人林琳丽说：“这个奖项是进一步的肯定，证明本地作品已达世界水平。希望以此为起点，把这部短片扩大为动画系列，向更多小朋友传达保育信息。”
