本片的主人公是一位出身富家的小男孩，虽然衣食无忧但他并不快乐。导演运用了“二分镜”手法——左边是现实，右边是梦境，用两个屏幕形成强烈的对比。这个总是做着噩梦的小男孩，在最后遇到冰山的时候，同时也用噩梦般的结局结束掉了自己的噩梦。作品中的那些简洁线条、充满象征意义的色彩、突破人眼的主观视角，以及变化莫测的时空错置巧思，着实令人着迷。

When her family member died from Chagas, a life-threatening parasitic disease, she still has to earn for livings far away from her home country; In the Democratic Republic of Congo, where armed conflict is ongoing, women are still under the threat of being sexually assaulted by combatants; In Uganda, thousands of children cover long distances every night to search for places of refuge to avoid being kidnapped as child soldiers; patients suffering from sleeping sickness do not have access to the essential medicines; thousands of Colombian families who are victims of the violence perpetrated by their country's various armed groups on the rural population try hard to return to their homeland. 　　With the help of Médecins Sans Frontières, five well-known directors have come together to give voice to the real-life protagonists of the film, the victims of five of the most under-reported crises.
