バンドのツアー中に見知らぬ町で取り残された中西（田中淳一郎）は、町のボスのような存在である古賀（鈴木卓爾）に目をかけられ仕事を手伝うようになる。町の住民たちは酒を飲み交わし、外れにある川からさまよい出てくるものたちを追い返す。川にまつわる特別な力をマネージメントすることが彼らの仕事だった。古賀の店で働く絢（柴田千紘）に惹かれながら、次第に中西はこの町と自分に深い繋がりがあることに気付き始める。
