”Kohta 18” (Almost 18), director and writer Maarit Lalli’s first feature film, has received positive responses from critics and audiences. The film tells five boys’ distinct yet interconnected stories. The common denominator for the stories is not only the boys’ friendship, but the struggles they face with their parents and themselves, while they are pursuing independence. In essence the movie is about youth as well as friend and family relationships. 　　The film manages to depict the lives of these five boys in Helsinki from a fresh perspective – the main characters are not troubled or extraordinary youths, but instead quite normal young men with everyday problems. 一个垂暮老人回忆着那些老电影院，有的变成了书店，有的早就作废了，大有纪录片版的《天堂电影院》的意思，事实上片中的有家小影院名字就叫“CINE PARADISO”，老人回忆的不是电影院，而是自己的青春。镜头的挪动节奏动静皆宜，配乐氛围渲染恰到好处。那已成古董的锈迹斑斑的胶片放映机被再次运转起来时的情景，相信会对在露天影院看过这种放映机的上了年级的观众有所震动。最后老人将废弃的影院给重开了，街坊们都来捧场。他在片中说：我对电影院有的只有感情，而太多的人把它当作一门生意。
