凌凌漆（周星驰饰）是一代著名特工，但长期被上级弃用，而沦为卖肉摊主。此时一具价值连城的恐龙骨架丢失，是一个浑身盔甲的金枪客所为。因为线索少，任务又危险，究竟派谁去调查，高层领导争执不休，决定派凌凌漆去送死。凌凌漆按照线索到达香港，并与联络人香琴碰头。不料香琴却总伺机要将凌凌漆杀死，原来她就是金枪客派来的杀手。但他们经历了出生入死的战斗，产生了感情。此时金枪客也已经暴露，原来就是指派凌凌漆来港的南方将军。最后，凌凌漆凭着自己精湛的肉刀技巧，将金枪客除掉。
