民国24年，曾祖父在杭州泛舟并留影纪念。2023年，我探寻并重游了部分照片中的地点：从富春江到钱塘江，又名之江。这条河流是记忆的隐喻，也是一根联结时间的线索。漂浮在水面上，我静静地凝视着摇曳的波涛，反射出迷人而又刺眼的阳光。近百年的历史变迁，最终汇集在一条弯曲、发光的线条里，如同汹涌的洪流在不断地变化着。 　　In the 24th year of the Republic of China, my great-grandfather travelled on a boat in Hangzhou and captured the moment in photographs. In 2023, I explored and revisited some of the locations depicted in the photos: from the Fu Chun River to the Qiang Tang River, also known as Zhi Jiang. This river is a metaphor for personal memories and also as a thread connecting through time. Drifting on the water, I gazed at the rippling waves, reflecting the captivating yet dazzling sunlight. The historical changes of nearly a century ultimately converge into a curved and luminous line, resembling the surging torrent that ever-changes.

This life came with the gift of being taken care of and the cost of more abuse. As Julie’s time with Allison is coming to a dangerous close, Julie is given two chances of escape, with two very different men… The story of PAINTED WOMAN is two distinct chapters in Julie's life, with each chapter mirroring the other. Chapter one follows Julie meeting Frank. It is told mostly at night in the town of Goldfield. Chapter two follows the Mustanger. It takes place in the wilderness and is told mostly during the day.

Hae-in is kidnapped by Dong-yub who had a crush on her when she lived in their hometown. Her blissful life in Seoul with Korean-American Johan is ruined. Dong-yub locks her in a villa and begs her acknowledge that they once had a relationship back hometown but Hae-in pines away after Johan and tries to escape repeatedly. Johan, at first, tries to find Hae-in but soon gives up and begins to see other women. Dong-yub finds out and ensnares one of Johan's women and meets him. But Johan sarcastically bids happiness of Dong-yub and Hae-in, Hae-in, unaware of the truth, thinks of ways to escape the villa. Dong-yub is tormented by Hae-in and finally lets her go. She returns to Johan only to find out the truth. Finally realizing that Dong-yub was sincere, she goes back to him but finds that he has killed himself from heartbreak.
