This is the first documentary film on the International College of Philosophy (Collège 　　international de Philosophie: CIPH), founded by, among others, Jacques Derrida and 　　François Châtelet in 1983 in Paris. The film consists of interviews with former presidents 　　Michel Deguy, François Noudelmann and Bruno Clément, current vice-president Boyan 　　Manchev, and with former and current program directors Catherine Malabou, Francisco 　　Naishtat and Gisèle Berkman. The aim of this film is to consider the possibilities of the 　　humanities in general and philosophy in particular under the current conditions of global 　　capitalism. 19岁的天主教徒卡尔曾经做过恐怖分子的帮凶，失业后，闷闷不乐，整天把自己关在房里。一次，他到图书馆去，被年轻美丽的管理员玛塞拉迷住，于是找许多借口去她家，并得到她婆婆的欢心。卡尔得知，玛塞拉的丈夫就是被恐怖分子杀害的莫顿警官。卡尔深感自责，他想摆脱恐怖分子的控制，却又身不由己地参与了恐怖分子策划的抢劫。卡尔与玛塞拉的感情日益加深，最后等待他的是被捕入狱的下场。
