Der Filmemacher Christoph Rüter erinnert sich an seinen philosophischen Lehrer Hans Blumenberg (1920-1996) und begibt sich mit zwei ehemaligen Kommilitonen auf eine Reise quer durch Deutschland, um auf den biografischen Spuren des Hochschullehrers die Faszination seines Denkens nachvollziehbar zu machen. Das Road Movie bleibt allerdings nicht beim Anekdotischen stehen, sondern unternimmt seriöse Versuche, Grundbegriffe von Blumenbergs Denken zu skizzieren. The aim of this film is to consider the possibilities of the 　　humanities in general and philosophy in particular under the current conditions of global 　　capitalism.
