SYNOPSIS 　　Ahn Hyun-sang works at Samho Corporation and is engaged to Jang Yeon-hi. But Yeon-hi betrays him and marries the son of the chairman of Samho, Ki Dae-wun. Hyun-sang's sister dies when Dae-wun's car runs her over. When Dae-wun fails to get a bank loan, the company is thrown into dire circumstances and although he needs Jung Yang-suk's help, he suffers from the past when he seized her father's fortune. The animosity both by Yang-suk who is in love with Hyun-sang and Hyun-sang drives Samho to bankruptcy. But Hyun-sang tells Yeon-hi that he loved her and Yang-suk tastes the bitter sweetness of revenge and go out of the country.

Marcelle, a French woman living in Soho, put him on his feet with money, and he repaid her by stealing fifty pounds and running off. He met the wealthy Catherine at his flat where she came to be tutored in French lessons, and ended up marrying him. But, even at his wedding, he had eyes only for Patricia and, he tells her she is his one true love.

牟敦芾第二部长片秉持反思反叛意旨，并走进更為禁忌的情性领域。两个中学男生关係密切，一人突在跑步时猝死，另一人自责惭疚，常到亡友父母的摊档帮忙，获得一时的情感抒解，但对死者的思念及生存的困惑，仍像是要把人吞灭。处理青少年情谊，十分写实坦率，主动提到同性恋，开社会偏见的玩笑。主角愿意赎罪，能够跨越阶级界线，对种种保守压制的价值观，也了然於心。伸缩镜头、定镜、短快剪接、内心独白，电影实验多样而精练，暴风雨中推车一幕，是强烈的影像宣示。尤重视内敛象徵，无底黑洞和宿命论调作為头尾呼应，在影片写实主义框架上叠印意识流。和前作被传佚失数十年，现在足以改写台湾新电影的脉络。
