本作の主人公は無職になってから不眠症に悩まされている25歳の青年・平岡修二。彼は謝礼の10万円を目当てに、失踪した20代の女性・小川翠を探し、あてもなくさまよっていた。やがて修二は少しずつ翠に意識を占領され、彼女の凄絶で悲劇的な過去を知る。

这部动画短片的主题是以黑白绘画形式，以画中中“绳”的意象表现作为情节展开的视觉导向，将一个体积较小者（弱者）和一个体积较大者，练习在一个方框式的空间中。创作者围绕两者体积的大小之争，控制与被控制之争，用极其单一的色彩和极其简单的视觉元素，揭示了事物发展的辩证关系，大与小、强与弱、主动与被动，一切事物都是可以互相转化的，体现了一种存在关系的哲学思考。
