本片源自动画短片《痴鸡小队》，主要讲述了赵宇、夏青、张伟、代小齐四个年轻人因为对电竞的热爱阴差阳错组成“痴鸡小队”，刚刚组建的队伍缺乏默契，历经坎坷，他们开始了全国锦标赛的历程，但是比赛期间对手王龙设计针对他们，他们能否获得冠军也成了未知。
