为了庆祝日本电视台“ANIMAX”10 周年所制作的原创动画，《毒蛇信条 （暂译，VIPER'S CREED）》将于明年 1 月开播，而日前也正式公开作品的预告影片。 动画《毒蛇信条》的故事发生在 21 世纪，当时由于人类而导致环境恶化、饥荒、病源的蔓延以及气象异常，国际经济也因此出现严重的问题，更招致世界大战的暴发。而在大战结束后分崩离析、失去以往通讯和交通方式的世界上，拥有重要地理位置的便是名为“Fort Diversity”的地区。 由于各国的企业和公司都快速的集中在“Fort Diversity”，因此也存在著与当地的住民产生的摩擦、以及许多作乱的市民。而此时任职于维护秩序的民间军事组织“阿尔坎（暂译，アルコン）”中的 “樱子（暂译，サクラコ）”被调入顶尖单位“UNIT?VIPER”，并与“赛奇（暂译，サイキ）”结为搭档，两人联手解决各种冲突事件。 负责制作动画的 AIC 过去的作品包括了《天地无用！ 》、《神秘的世界 》、《幸运女神 》以及《食灵 零 》等知名作品。同时总监督是由曾执导《苹果核战 》与《EX MACINA 》等在各地皆受到注目的 荒牧……
