演员冢本高史(26)将主演7月15日开播的TBS电视剧《帝王》。这是他首次主演民办电视台拍摄的电视剧。 　　这部剧是由小学馆《BIG COMIC SPITZ》上连载的仓科辽的漫画《帝王》为原作改编而成。冢本饰演用坚强的信念、友情做为武器，在夜店的世界里不断向上爬的男人。由于朋友的恋人被牛郎俱乐部的头牌抢走，他以此为契机，为了战胜那个头牌，义无反顾踏入牛郎业界。仓科辽的原作《夜王》于05年被TBS改编，同年东京电视台改编了《娘王》，07年朝日电视台将《女帝》改编为电视剧成为当年度的话题之作。 　　凭借《木更津猫眼》系列冢本高史赢得了不小人气，小混混和御宅族也都演过，表演范围非常广泛。08年首次主演NHK连续剧《监查法人》，饰演充满正义感的会计师。首次主演民办电视台连续剧，冢本高史干劲十足的说：“希望能和剧中主人公一同成长…”。他还自我宣传说“剧中的友情相遇也很值得关注，希望大家能关注这部“人情电视剧”。 　　原作主人公擅长的体育项目原本是棒球,不过，冢本曾经是名足球少年，所以这次电视剧也将棒球变更为足球。
