本片从数学与人的关系出发，介绍数学作为最基础学科对于人类文明进程的意义。通过现实生活中数学的体现，如计时、建筑、音乐、天气预报等，介绍数学的应用。同时，通过对数学家的访谈，了解这些“被数学选中的人”是如何看待数学、看待科学演进的。

SYNOPSIS 　　Sun-young, a fashion model, accidentally runs a man over on a bicycle on her way home and flees the scene. Young-pyo witnesses the accident and blackmails Sun-young for sexual favors. Sun-young is in love with Cheol-min, the son of a wealthy businessman but she is unable to stop Cheol-min from taking advantage of her. Young-pyo devises a plan to rip off Cheol-min and his family. Things go from bad to worse when Young-pyo involuntarily kills Cheol-min's parents when they strongly resist his demands. Sun-young becomes accessory to murder when she is forced to help him hide the bodies. She finds out that the man whom she had hit is not dead but alive and walking the streets, and sees the big picture. Everybody knows that playing is a serious matter. Director Matjaž Ivanišin is confident about that, and he has chosen to take us to a strictly male world. We get to see men striking punching balls at a funfair, clinching each other roughly until the shoulders of their opponents touch the ground, trying to excel at throwing heavy rounds of cheese through the narrow streets of villages, competing at screaming the numbers obtained by adding their raised fingers, etc. Sports deemed noble or tavern hobbies, peaceful leisure activities or amusements infused with barely contained violence, and although incongruous at times, all these games clearly have a touch of archaism about them.
