云台弟子云襄学成出山，开始暗中追寻灭族仇人，他探听到自己当年的救命恩人闻聪被关押在白驹镇，立刻孤身前往。途中，云襄联合绿林好汉，设计除掉了盘踞白驹镇的匪兵，为下一步行动打好了基础。同时云襄从匪首口中得知自己一直寻找的闻聪正在白驹镇盐场狱中。云襄在一间药铺寻到同门柴掌柜，说起云台往事，但关于闻聪如何入狱，柴掌柜语焉不详。在狱监严骆望常去的赌馆，云襄遇到侠女舒亚男，此女性情刚烈，怒斥严骆望出千，与赌场一众人大打出手跳窗而逃。而当夜云襄摸入严骆望家中打算再寻线索时，再次与舒亚男相遇。两人听到严骆望与漕帮的暗中交易，眼看要被严骆望发现，危急时刻云襄被舒亚男搭救，化解危机，舒亚男自称是闻聪义女。于是两人约定相互配合，分头行动，联手救出闻聪。云襄再入赌场，几番对决故意激怒监狱长严骆望，终于如愿以偿被投入狱中。
