A story as told by an aborted child who's now 14 years old, which involves his mother, three teenagers (two twin brothers and their cousin) that make a love triangle, the twins' father (an erotic journalist) and his new lover, a drug lord and his sidekicks, the drug lord's wife who doesn't know who's the father of her baby, a prostitute with bladder problems, a hit man who's really a frustrated poet, and a huge drug-related misunderstanding. 　　Colombian dream is probably one of the best Colombian movie ever done, especially Felipe Aljure's wonderful direction and very original screenplay makes this movie a must if you want to know about new styles and concepts about Colombian movie. Since Maria Full of Grace which was released in 2003 but being half Colombian half American I haven't seen a so well done Colombian story. This movie is far apart of the way other directors tell a story about drugs and social problems that are part of the costumbrism and black movie style made in Colombia's cinematography but which is also part of Colombia's reality. Even though the young leading actors still have a lot to learn the movie has extraordinary supporting actors and also very good film editing and sound editing.

On his journey Simon discovers a divided country - where life is steadily improving for many, while others still live in terror of the military who still have enormous power in the country. 　　In this two part series, Simon travels to the biggest city in the country, Yangon to find out how the country is transforming. From there he drives north, into Burma's Buddhist heartlands and the stunning ancient capital of Bagan - a sight that rivals the great wonders of the world. 　　Simon visits Bangladesh to meet the refugees traumatised by the violence. In what is now the biggest refugee settlement in the world, he learns about a crisis that has been brewing for decades, with no sign of ending, and potentially grave consequences for the wider region. 　　And he discovers it's not just the Rohingya's suffering at the hands of the military as he travels secretly into one of Burma's many conflict zones to meet a rebel army who've been fighting the military for decades - in what has become the longest-running civil war in the world.
