故事设定在一个蒸汽朋克风格的平行宇宙中，第二次世界大战正打得如火如荼，机器人也加入了战斗，分布在轴心国、同盟国和英联邦等阵营的战线上。

我搬入新家，电梯里见 1502 小两口的 “蹭饭申请”，要求邻居工作日供餐，餐费比外卖便宜。身为美食博主的我成目标，拒后遭报复：半夜砸门、堆腐臭垃圾，他们还在业主群曝光我入狱隐私，煽动驱逐。 经邻居提醒，我加入受害业主群，得知二人是警察也无奈的 “滚刀肉”，他们甚至叫刺青哥哥上门威胁。我拿油锯强硬反击，吓得他们停手。 十天后，这对夫妻在家饿死，尸体瘦成纸片人 —— 蹭不到饭竟偏执不点外卖。其哥哥送饭路上出车祸躺 ICU，整件事满是诡异，恰似作恶后的报应。

室友谢闻春捡到一瓶神秘香水，按下喷头后，寝室弥漫石楠花发酵般的腥臭，让我作呕，可其他两位室友（包括懂香水的富家女文梅）却觉得是清淡高级的木质香。谢文春认定我嫉妒诋毁她，喷着香水纠缠校草贺维。 令人意外的是贺维态度骤变与她热恋，谢闻春还成了男性 “磁铁”，从前嘲笑她的男生都对她痴迷。只有拥有通灵鼻的我知道，这源于香水的不祥腐臭。谢闻春与贺维同居后，我从贺炜身上闻到了越来越浓的尸腐味。 香水用完后，贺维翻脸赶她出门，谢闻春身上开始散发浓烈腥臊恶臭，洗之不去，遭人嫌弃。她发现这瓶香水暗网售价十万美金，绝望之下不惜一切寻找香水，而那股挥之不去的尸臭，预示着更恐怖的后果即将来临。
