《进步班》是一档通过传统文化探究演员表演艺术的“演员训练纪实真人秀”。节目邀请演艺界资深前辈李诚儒作为班主任，以中国国粹——京剧为基石，带领数十位新人演员进行表演训练。李诚儒将用追溯传统、剖析经典的方式言传身教，通过代际碰撞演员精进的信条，最终帮助新人完成演技的成长与蜕变，打造出新一代年轻核动力。

The program, which provided loans and aid from the U.S. and the international financial community, built some schools and hospitals, but by the early 1970s it was widely viewed as a failure. Significant land reform was not achieved, population growth outstripped gains in health and welfare, and the U.S. willingness to support military dictators to prevent communism from gaining a foothold sowed distrust and undermined the reforms the Alliance was intended to promote.
