好吃懒做的赌鬼胖妞苏绾年轻时，靠道德绑架和下药，逼迫被自己救回来的村会计乔连城结婚。婚后却一次次辜负乔连城，还不仅试图卖掉乔连城的儿子乔平安还债，还挪用了乔连城的救命钱去赌，在输的血本无归后，期待已经长大的乔平安拿钱救自己，却不料早就恨她入骨的乔平安添钱给放高利贷的众人要卖苏绾的性命。 苏绾死后重生回到80年代刚跟乔连城结婚不久，因为她死性不改，再次欠下赌债要去拿乔平安抵债的时候。 想到前世的下场，苏绾立志要洗心革面。从不卖乔平安开始，立志不再赌博而且利用前世的记忆开始努力赚钱发家致富，并且用自己的实际行动向乔家父子证明自己的改变。 大家都不敢再相信苏绾，但随着苏绾的改变，对苏绾渐渐改观。
