民国24年，曾祖父在杭州泛舟并留影纪念。2023年，我探寻并重游了部分照片中的地点：从富春江到钱塘江，又名之江。这条河流是记忆的隐喻，也是一根联结时间的线索。漂浮在水面上，我静静地凝视着摇曳的波涛，反射出迷人而又刺眼的阳光。近百年的历史变迁，最终汇集在一条弯曲、发光的线条里，如同汹涌的洪流在不断地变化着。 　　In the 24th year of the Republic of China, my great-grandfather travelled on a boat in Hangzhou and captured the moment in photographs. In 2023, I explored and revisited some of the locations depicted in the photos: from the Fu Chun River to the Qiang Tang River, also known as Zhi Jiang. This river is a metaphor for personal memories and also as a thread connecting through time. Drifting on the water, I gazed at the rippling waves, reflecting the captivating yet dazzling sunlight. The historical changes of nearly a century ultimately converge into a curved and luminous line, resembling the surging torrent that ever-changes.

Hae-in is kidnapped by Dong-yub who had a crush on her when she lived in their hometown. Her blissful life in Seoul with Korean-American Johan is ruined. Dong-yub locks her in a villa and begs her acknowledge that they once had a relationship back hometown but Hae-in pines away after Johan and tries to escape repeatedly. Johan, at first, tries to find Hae-in but soon gives up and begins to see other women. Dong-yub finds out and ensnares one of Johan's women and meets him. But Johan sarcastically bids happiness of Dong-yub and Hae-in, Hae-in, unaware of the truth, thinks of ways to escape the villa. Dong-yub is tormented by Hae-in and finally lets her go. She returns to Johan only to find out the truth. Finally realizing that Dong-yub was sincere, she goes back to him but finds that he has killed himself from heartbreak.

Gjino reluctantly obeys, but Marigo, who loves another, tries various devious methods to free herself from this bizaare marriage agreement. 　　'A Tale from the Past' is an excellent movie. There is some history in a comedy regarding ethnology. The time when the film was made, Albania was under communist regime and the equipment was of a low quality, so the visuals might not coincide with solid European or American standards. However, actors are perfect, and so does the story. Andon Zako – Cajupi is one the best humorists of Albanian Renaissance and he knew what to write about in his comedy. 　　Today's Albanian family has changed a lot, but at that time (18/19th century) mentality caused many disorders in the society. The priest was not the appropriate man for the church as he always kept his eyes on village's women, whereas men had to deal with long and senseless conversations, without working. I think that the movie acquaint very well the position of the woman in 18/19th century society. She had to work in the fields, wash the house, care about the children and what's the most important – she kept the family alive. But decisions were always done by the men, whose favourite job was drinking coffee or grape brandy. The marriage of a girl against her will to an unknown gets the most wanted punch in the movie.
