He's hired as replacement (scab) worker at big metallurgical factory, which is in the throes of a strike organized by the Bolsheviks (communists). The Bolshevik strikers are led by Ivan Shtraukh (brother of the more famous Russian actor Maxim Shtraukh). At first, the deceitful industrialist's son (Fedosev) involves the naive Poslavsky in an attempt to murder Shtraukh, but the attempt only wounds the heroic organizer. Will Poslavsky follow through with the planned killing, or will he redeem himself by going over to the side of the strikers?

一支红军探路小队，在侦查翻越长征途中第一座大雪山——夹金山时，与国民党军队展开搏杀。后遭遇山匪，一番激烈对峙后化敌为友。当探路任务完成之时，小队也解救出屠刀下的村民，同时也付出惨痛牺牲。最终，红军成功翻越夹金山！
