BBC Four has acquired Hidden Assets from DCD Rights, a new international crime drama shot in Ireland and Belgium starring Angeline Ball. 　　A routine raid led by Emer Berry, (Ball) a detective in the Irish Criminal Assets Bureau, reveals that a small-time drug dealer has been receiving substantial funding from a seemingly untraceable source – not in cash, but in rough diamonds. 　　When these diamonds are linked to a series of bombings in Belgium, Emer is forced to work with Police Commissioner Christian De Jong. Eventually banding together, they unravel a political conspiracy fuelling domestic unrest for financial gain; caught up in this web of greed are the Brannigans, a wealthy Irish dynasty with ties to Antwerp. 　　Drawn into a battle of wits with the family, Emer, Christian, and the CAB team must follow the money to stop another terrorist attack – before it’s too late. 　　Alongside Angeline Ball, Wouter Hendrickx stars as Christian De Jong with Simone Kirby as Bibi Melnick. 　　Sue Deeks, Head of Programme Acquisition, BBC says: "Hidden Assets is a satisfying blend of crime drama, political conspiracy and thriller. The Lead Director is Thaddeus O’Sullivan with Kadir Balci leading the shoot in Belgium and it is written by IFTA-nominated screenwriter Peter McKenna and Morna Regan, who was selected for the first BBC Drama Room in 2016.

Kiarostami presents two cases for talking heads to evaluate in terms of morality, rights and responsibilities. Case One: Your son is in class, sitting in the back row. His teacher is writing on the board. A restless student in the back row makes a lot of noise. Not knowing who the culprit is, the teacher makes all the children sitting in the last two rows stay outside of the class until the weekend, unless they tell him who made the noise. After a few days spent outside of the classroom, your son relents and tattles on the boy who made the noise, so he can go back in and continue learning. Was he in the right? Case Two: The other students from the back row wait out the rest of the week outside of the class, before returning. Were they in the right?
