As my interest in the subject deepened through the filming, the original and clear-cut image I had about faith became completely overturned. Perhaps it is only God who is fully equipped and all people have shortcomings and weaknesses, and so the preachers, in the same way, have to face a complex social reality and the pressures to survive. Consequently, the characters of the group come through as more real and dynamic, and not so far-flung from us.

一个月里面外婆与外公的相继离开，本应直接从北京回到长沙参加外公葬礼的安琪，却似乎只是一直朝着回家的方向，但对参加葬礼这件事避而不谈。她一路上去了很多曾经安慰过他的地方，谈起曾经在这些城市的恋人们，也谈起那件九死一生，令她生活发生天翻地覆变化的事。本片以一个女性成长的旅程，通过诗意和灰调的镜头语言，探索了三代男性角色对女性成长的影响，直面九零后独生子女面对爱与得失的处理方式，重新思考着自己与家的联系和与男性的关系。
