《瀑布》的故事灵感来自导演钟孟宏友人发生的真实故事，以电影《瀑布》中层层暗喻与不停撞击两个女主角的故事为设计概念主轴，就有如海报中的草丛，缓缓持续着围绕这着母女，像是保护他们又像是被团团困住。而她们背后的蓝色帏幕象征未完工且令人期待的未来，蓝色的基底又像是层层水幕，大量的水花如瀑布般向下坠落。

影片讲述在疫情爆发被隔离期间，一对母女令人担忧的关系发生了意想不到的变化。

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson investigate the disappearance of a champion racehorse, Silver Blaze. The horse disappeared in the middle of the night from its stables and with a major race on the horizon its owner, Colonel Ross, is desperate to get his prize possession back. There had been some strange comings and goings the night the horse disappeared including a race tout trying to get inside information on the upcoming race.
