Images of a violent conflict between the government and Muslim demonstrators did not get past the censor. How can any film maker still show what is happening in his country? In view of the fact that anything can fall under this law, in Reincarnate he shows for the first time flowing sperm. In his previous films, homosexual love was always prominently, but not explicitly present. 武九年，天下大乱，夏天应与太后武昭仪平定八王之乱，建立新朝。大婚之日，武昭仪轻信谣言，毒杀顾璃，夏天应悲痛欲绝，拒立武韵为后，自废修为遁入空门成空见大师。武昭仪怒立琅琊王夏天誉为储君，夏天誉进京后为讨好武昭仪前往灵隐寺，因小和尚失误大怒，欲杀夏天应。夏天应命悬一线之际，武韵见死不救，武昭仪得知后怒杀武韵，心急如焚赴终南山求医。夏天应伤势却神奇恢复。琅琊王趁武昭仪离宫欲杀夏天应，反被其杀。武九思带高手谋反，被夏天应暗河压下。武九思临死以蛊毒震慑，夏天应不惧，杀武九思后中毒濒死。此时，“假死”的顾璃现身救治夏天应。一切尘埃落定，夏天应夺回一切，与顾璃终成眷属。
