纪录片《文运中国》通过两位外籍友人游历中国的第一视角，呈现中国五千多年悠久灿烂的文明史以及新时代中国蓬勃多彩的文化氛围。摄制组先后走访了杭州良渚古城、扬州大运河、曲阜孔庙、景德镇陶溪川、广东潮州、福建泉州等16处文化地标，跨越中国的东西南北。两位外籍友人近距离地与中国的文化达人、网络博主以及普通百姓真诚交流，向海外受众介绍中华文化的同时，也展现了当今中国城市与乡村的社会风貌与活力。
