《风》一片中，自然的力量摧毁了一个娇小的年轻的女人（吉斯饰），她被困于一间处于风沙侵袭之中的沙漠小屋。通过电影拍摄技术和吉斯的表演，风成功地被表现为宇宙中曾经对脆弱的人性实施暴虐的一切力量的象征。而当面对一个野蛮男人的袭击时，看似单纯而脆弱的吉斯显示了她个性中勇敢与反抗的一面。
