Narrated by the incarnate ghost of a deceased real hair donor. In the post-war era, the export of real hair wigs contributed to Asia’s economic development, with Hong Kong as a major hub. In its heyday in the 1960s, ‘Asian real hair’ was popular with wealthy U.S. women, but then the USA imposed an embargo on the product, now classified as ‘communist hair’. This is where the intricate and innovatively realised story begins: Starting with complex economical and sociopolitical contexts, it weaves a thread that runs through various historical and dreamlike staged levels. 　　Hong Kong was and is a space of in-between-ness — between East and West, between communism and capitalism. Perhaps that is why there are so many spooks in the city, one protagonist speculates. 在战后东亚的经济腾飞过程中，假发制造业扮演了重要的角色。在 60 年代的黄金时期，假发曾是香港第四大的出口产品。香港也连接着作为当时全球最大的人发来源地的中国大陆与广阔的国际市场。1965 年，美国财政部宣布了对“亚细亚”（Asiatic）头发的制裁，来以切断通过人发贸易流向中国的大量外汇。随着韩国和菲律宾等美国盟国发展假发制造业的需求增长，制裁中带有强烈种族主义色彩的“Asiatic 头发”也被修改成了“共产主义头发”，要求所有进入国际市场的人发需要证明并非来自于共产主义来源。这一禁运也对之后东亚的轻工业布局带来了重大影响。从对共产主义头发的制裁出发，通过重述人与物的流动，本片重新审视了香港作为连接不同世界的中间角色，以及美国帝国主义阴霾下的冷战时期的东亚秩序。

Chor Yuen was Gu Long before he started filming Gu Long. The director's first wuxia film, made at Shaws' rival Cathay, finds him relishing in a mode of expression that would later become the signature style of the 'martial-arts suspense thriller' mini-genre. Chor grafts the quasi-psychological stylishness of his Cantonese melodrama onto this actioner, laying on thick the atmosphere by dialling up the fog machine and unleashing the colours from his camera's palette. He also stages his fights in modern dance-like choreography, with moves that are more graceful than ferocious and paused poses that are longer on expressive narcissism than continuity of action. Cold Blade is the quiet beginning of an aesthetic.

无言。。。只能向这位默默无闻的东欧电影大师致敬了。 　　为满足父母的愿望和需求，14岁的吉诺（Gjino）和20岁的玛丽戈（Marigo）之间安排了婚姻。吉诺不情愿地服从了，但爱另一个人的玛丽戈却想尽了各种狡猾的方法来摆脱这个双歧途的婚姻协议…… 　　To meet the desires and needs of the parents, a marriage is arranged between 14-year-old Gjino and 20-year-ol d Marigo. Gjino reluctantly obeys, but Marigo, who loves another, tries various devious methods to free herself from this bizaare marriage agreement. 　　'A Tale from the Past' is an excellent movie. There is some history in a comedy regarding ethnology. The time when the film was made, Albania was under communist regime and the equipment was of a low quality, so the visuals might not coincide with solid European or American standards. However, actors are perfect, and so does the story. Andon Zako – Cajupi is one the best humorists of Albanian Renaissance and he knew what to write about in his comedy. 　　Today's Albanian family has changed a lot, but at that time (18/19th century) mentality caused many disorders in the society. The priest was not the appropriate man for the church as he always kept his eyes on village's women, whereas men had to deal with long and senseless conversations, without working. I think that the movie acquaint very well the position of the woman in 18/19th century society. She had to work in the fields, wash the house, care about the children and what's the most important – she kept the family alive. But decisions were always done by the men, whose favourite job was drinking coffee or grape brandy. The marriage of a girl against her will to an unknown gets the most wanted punch in the movie.

Swiss priest Fr. Hilber devoted his life to Taitung, focusing on improving BOTH the spiritual and material life of indigenous peoples. He founded Kung-Tung Technical Senior High School as well as the chapel on one of the buildings. He brought the best European wooden technicians to be lecturers for the students and successfully breed a great generation of furniture masters. At the same time, the chapel was selected as the 30 important modernist architectures by WMF (WORLD MONUMENTS FUND) in 2017. 　　While the reconstruction plan kicked up this July, we will revisit the building and dig out the meaning of the chapel as well as priest Fr. Hiber in the local society of Taitung and the school he founded.
