The video moves between cities like New York and Paris, with the artist's native Beirut setting the central pulse. Creating an associative genealogy that moves from whale oil lamps to gas lanterns to LED bulbs, from blackouts to curfews, the video is comprised of found footage and material from Aivazian’s own phone. Layering, splicing, and confronting disparate kinds of sound and image, the artist generates a sensorial meditation on how the fundamentals of human vision—light hitting the retina—were mechanized into tools that capture our movements, be it in everyday life or on screen. SYNOPSIS 　　Ahn Hyun-sang works at Samho Corporation and is engaged to Jang Yeon-hi. But Yeon-hi betrays him and marries the son of the chairman of Samho, Ki Dae-wun. Hyun-sang's sister dies when Dae-wun's car runs her over. When Dae-wun fails to get a bank loan, the company is thrown into dire circumstances and although he needs Jung Yang-suk's help, he suffers from the past when he seized her father's fortune. The animosity both by Yang-suk who is in love with Hyun-sang and Hyun-sang drives Samho to bankruptcy. But Hyun-sang tells Yeon-hi that he loved her and Yang-suk tastes the bitter sweetness of revenge and go out of the country.
