物語は作家の宇野千代さんがモデル。タイトルの『ブラッサム』は花の開花を意味し、「咲き誇れ」の思いを込め、主人公が自分を肯定し、自分を奮い立たせる言葉だという。今作は明治、大正、昭和を駆け抜け、自由を求め続けた作家・宇野千代さんをモデルとした物語。戦後、女性たちからの圧倒的な支持を受け、しなやかに、したたかに、愉快に生きながら、今も現代人の背中を押してくれる強烈な言葉を残した生涯。日本の朝に「幸せ」を運ぶ。
