该纪录片第一季共7集，摄制组将选取广东7个城市的7种地理标志产品，记录地标食材及其背后的地理、生态和人文故事。

《超级食材》是由新媒股份出品、广东商标协会大力支持、知了青年联合制作的广东地标食材微综艺纪录片。该纪录片将选取广东7个城市的7种地理标志产品，记录地标食材及其背后的地理、生态和人文故事，带领观众从喧嚣城市穿越到在地食材原产地，用食材开启地志自然奇迹，赞美本土风物情志，发现原生美味奇观，让《超级食材》成为一部记录广东地方风物的影像百科全书。

本地作物（在来作物）是指那些几十年甚至上百年在这片土地繁衍培育的农作物，它们由农民们祖祖辈辈亲手培育。可是与那些品种改良的作物相比，无论产量还是品相上本地作物都相形见绌，于是在经济高速增长、生产与消费水平双高的快节奏时代里，本地作物越来越淡出人们的视线和记忆。不过随着社会价值观日趋多样化，本地作物正日益受到人们的重视。譬如热衷于采用本地作物制作“山形意大利菜”的厨师奥田政行，独特的色香味经他之手展露无遗。旧食材，新食谱，本地作物重焕风姿……

However, 9 months later, the novel Coronavirus has claimed the lives of over 200,000 Americans and caused staggering economic damage, while in South Korea, there were no significant lockdowns and, in an urbanized population of 51 million, only 344 lives have been lost. Where did we go wrong?
